The Shortys DuPont KEVLAR construction provides excellent cut-resistance as well as heat and flash protection. It will not support flame or combust up to 800F (427C). The entire glove is sewn with non-melting nylon thread. A water resistant kangaroo leather palm provides superior abrasion and cut resistance. An elasticized wrist keeps the Shorty taut. Cut-ring stitching allows optional removal of the index finger for trigger control, without unraveling the remaining edge.
A second layer of leather in the palm provides additional protection and is ergonomically cut to prevent bunching while clenching objects. Foam padding in the heel of the palm cushions the shock of firearm recoil. Positive Grip non-skid material in the cradle of the hand provides a confident grip when using weapons or tools.
