The latest addition to the CELOX line, new CELOX-D is one of the most innovative products to hit the market in years. CELOX-D uses the same chitosan based agent as traditional CELOX but its delivery system is what makes it unique and highly effective. The agent is contained in a dissolvable bag that is placed in the wound and begins to break down after making contact with blood. As the bag breaks down the agent is released into the wound. This delivery system allows CELOX-D to overcome the challenges typically associated with granular agents.

CELOX's unusual properties have been confirmed in wound models, where they have repeatedly demonstrated the ability to rapidly control major arterial bleeding (without cautery) from traumatic wounds.
